Trade Name Designations

The registered tradename Sunglas® has been replaced by the registered tradename Versalux®. All Zeledyne Glass Operations (formerly Visteon Float Glass Operations) product nomenclature is prefaced by Versalux®. Product designations are indicated below:

The designation of Versalux® RC has been changed to Versalux® R. i.e. Versalux® Green RC has been renamed Versalux® Green R.

  2000 R = Versalux Blue 2000 or Versalux Green 2000 with reflective coating*
  2000 T = Versalux Blue 2000 or Versalux Green 2000 with titanium based reflective coating.
  Product introduced in 1985 as Sunglas® Reflective Blue+. Reflective coating was differentiated from coating on Sunglas Reflective Green, Sunglas Reflective Bronze & Sunglas Reflective Grey. Product was later renamed Versalux Blue RC. This coated product was discontinued from the Versalux coated family of products in June 2000 and is no longer available.
 

Versalux Blue RC (new) was introduced in July 2000 and later named Versalux Blue R.

Versalux Blue R is frequently used as replacement glazing for the original reflective coated product, but will exhibit a slightly different appearance and not considered interchangeable.

Versalux Blue 2000, Versalux Blue 2000 R, Versalux Green 2000, Versalux Green 2000 R & Versalux Grey 2000 absorbs significantly greater amounts of solar energy resulting in lower shading coefficients (for additional information refer to performance characteristics in the Zeledyne Glass Operations product catalog or visit our website at www.versaluxglass.com).

Versalux Blue, Versalux Green, Versalux Grey & Versalux Bronze are identically the same colors origionally introduced by Ford Motor Co/Glass Division as Sunglas family of products.
